Component Supply Company offers the most comprehensive selection of nylon filter discs of any scientific supplier. Component Supply's stock of nylon mesh filter screening is available in a number of configurations suitable for applications in a variety of industries. This monofilament, woven mesh material is nylon 6/6 and possesses effective abrasion and alkali resistance. The softening point is between 170°C and 230°C and the melting point is between 210°C and 250°C. Some Component Supply customers have successfully autoclaved this material; however, polyester mesh is recommended for most applications involving autoclave sterilization.

Applications for this soft nylon mesh filter screening occur in the following industries: mining, agriculture, aquaculture, medical and laboratory. Nylon discs have extensive use in the medical industry, particularly where injection molders are involved, such as in spirometrics. This mesh also has a variety of applications involving accurate, high-capacity particle separation such as occurs in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and mining industries. Work done in flour milling and corn, sugar and rice separation utilize mesh. Component Supply stocks nylon mesh discs with opening sizes ranging from 7 microns to 1030 microns. While we stock large volumes of this product, we also prove our commitment to the work of our researchers and product designers by offering this mesh in small quantities of custom diameter discs up to 4 inches. While most companies require an order minimum of around 1,000 discs, we offer much smaller quantities, even as few as 20 depending on the diameter. We strive to bring application-specific functionality to various industries by customizing our products without committing all customers to large quantities. Quality, Compliance, & Regulatory ▼

Permeable cloth products (except black coated) currently supplied by Component Supply are manufactured from 100% Dacron polyester and/or 100% nylon and have not been treated with chemicals that would be harmful to humans by food contact. Permeable cloth products undergo purely mechanical operations with material compounds that meet Code of Federal Regulations 21CFR177.1590 (a) to stiffen the material. Lubricants used on the manufacturing machinery meet FDA REG 21CFR178.3570, with the exception of the discs. Statements of compliance, such as those listed below, may be requested at the time of order and are distributed by lot number.
